The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party believes a united front will play a key role in NPP’s quest to Break the 8.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia made this known in the aftermath of his party’s parliamentary primaries on January 27, 2024, to elect parliamentary candidates to contest the party ticket in the December parliamentary polls.
He urged the defeated parliamentary aspirants to consider the supreme interest of the NPP and work closely with the elected candidates to secure victory on December 7.
“To those who lost out, I, together with the rank and file of the Party, need your support and contributions to ensure that we win the majority of seats and the presidency in the December 2024 elections.”
“With unity of purpose, we will win in December 2024,” Dr Bawumia said in a statement on Saturday night.
Adding that, “I urge the unsuccessful aspirants to leave the election behind, consider the supreme interest of the party, and work closely with the elected parliamentary candidates to secure success for the NPP” Vice President Bawumia said.
He also congratulated all elected aspirants and urged them to work for the betterment of the party.

How do they get all these monies to bribe these delegates ? Hmmm Politicians. Citizens think twice .I wish the people will take the money and not vote for them for them to STOP taken from gov.
When you ask people like @Nana Barima what NPP government has done in the last 8 years to deserve another term almost all of them give one of two answers: either we are breaking the 8 or we don't want Mahama back in power!. They are asking you what you have done to deserve another term and those are the sillly answers they give. For instance,@Takum is asking where Bawumia got a whooping 47million to bribe delegates and look at the answer @Nana Barima gave! They are so dumb and obsessed with power they just use to steall.
@ Nana Barima, it clearly show that you and your folk die hard party slaves are more guilty of what you accused NDC of previously. Clearly, you don't read and do analytical thinking. Let me tell you one thing, by 2020, over a million of the 1.5 million more votes that Nana Addo had had already rescinded their decision and regretted for voting in a wrong way, that's why Mahama almost closed the gap. This was even before the economic shut down. Continue to leave in your dreams, you think we'll meaning and level headed Ghanaians will prefer Bawumia over Mahama
@Takum he’s definitely gonna be the next president of Ghana. You think the Kings in and Ghanaian would want someone they rejected with 1million and 500K votes to be their President knowing that it is a taboo to bring back a dethrone king for abysmal performance and wanton corruptions. Someone who want to establish a family dynasty with tax payers money? Or someone who is not loyal to party? .
because only NPP delegates will vote. By the way where did you get GHC47million to pay the delegates in the presidential primaries and subsequent runoff for same? You people will account for all the money you have stolen.
