Member of Parliament for Buem in the Oti region, Hon Kofi Adams, has said that whether or not the government is performing well will be decided by the living conditions of Ghanaians, especially based on the weight they feel in their pockets.
According to the lawmaker, the launching of the performance tracker has no direct or indirect bearing on the living conditions of Ghanaians as far as job creations and general economic wellbeing is concerned.
Speaking further, he said that the Performance that the New Patriotic Party have been priding themselves with contains unpardonable errors and inaccurate information.
According to him, the tracker stated that work at the St Augustine House, House 1 at the Bishop Herman College in Kpando, Volta Region, is 100 percent complete.
However, he said a recent visit to the school showed that this information is false.
Speaking on the Ghana Tonight show on TV3 on Wednesday, April 10, he said “To come to my own school, Bishop Herman College where I attended, they are reporting that St Augustine’s House, House 1 that works in that house is 100 percent complete but I was in the school just on Tuesday 26 March 2024, nothing has happened to it.
“For the government to spend our money to report that in Bishop Herman College, St Augustine’s House, House 1 has been completed 100 percent is another lie. The best way to measure our performance will be in our pockets. We will not spend money to go and follow a tracker or a performance tracker that is deceptive or will mention things that do not exist.”
The Performance Tracker was launched in Accra on Wednesday, April 10 by the government to enhance accountability and transparency. However, the tracker has seen some fall shorts with some projects it describes as completed being nowhere near completion.
With over 13,000 projects across 261 districts, 28 ministries, and 16 regions, this Performance tracker platform monitors government performance nationwide.

how else do you think your party was booted out of office? we will compare our pockets, projects and the global economic outlook in making our decisions and in all of these indices, it doesn't look good for your party. we will compare the handling of covid -19 to the handling of cholera. we will compare free SHS to your time in office, we will compare ambulances, we will compare Ekumfi to Komenda etc.
NOW YOU ARE NO LONGER GOING TO PUNCH HOLES IN THE TRACKER? IT IS TRUE THE POCKETS OF GHANAIANS WILL DETERMINE WETHER THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING WELL OR NOT. I BET YOU GHANAIANS WILL VOTE FOR NPP BECAUSE WHEN THEY LOOK AT THE TRACKER AND CAN PINPOINT THE DEVELOPMENT AT THEIR LOCALITY, THEY WILL BE VERY PLEASED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE GOVERNMENT.
What about your Green book with non existing projects?
