President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour, took advantage of the VGMA 2015 platform to announce his interest and intention of contesting again to be MUSIGA president.
Obour, who is also a hiplife artiste, was elected on August 18, 2011 in Tamale in the Northern Region after contesting with other candidates including Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Tuffour and Willi Roi.
Obour was invited on stage to present the award for the Gospel Artiste of the Year 2015 and he explained that he has been receiving calls from people all over the world including the media concerning his intentions towards the upcoming contest.
“I am happy to share with you this amazing audience, cluster of musicians and my MUSIGA executives that Obour will contest for this year’s elections as the MUSIGA President to continue with the good work to promote Ghanaian music”, he happily stated.
Obour, whose songs are mostly geared towards national campaigns against indiscipline among others, has made a great impact in the Ghanaian music industry.
