Ghana was blessed with a donation from the Republic of China some days ago as part of the country’s resolve to support Ghana in the fight against the deadly coronavirus.
The items given to Ghana were Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to support health workers who are at the frontline of the fight against the deadly virus.
The President during his sixth update on measures the country has put in place to ensure coronavirus is contained in Ghana used the opportunity to thank the Chinese government for the aid and called for more support and collaboration during the period.
But reacting to this, Yvonne Nelson who has been advocating for an Independent Africa and especially Ghana believes Ghana and Africa will pay for the aid from China because they do not give things for free anywhere.
In a tweet, the only Ghanaian actress who has been critical of governments said “The Aid africa is getting isnt for free…..we will pay for it later….they will come and mine and mine and mine and mine and leave us hollow!!! For now give way to our new colonial masters to save the day! Check my old tweets about our new masters!”.
Ghana is currently battling COVID-19 and several measures have been put in place to protect the citizenry and also prevent the numbers from escalating. Ghana’s current positive cases stand at 566 whiles deaths due to the virus are 8 in number.

Yaa the spokesperson n interpreter for Yvonne Nelson ...tell your Yvonne to make donations to the state so the state can give China's donations back to them. We have had enough of the talk ,talk, talk Yvone ....u cant keep a partner (boyfriend) but u are always poking your nose n long legs in all issues. u really r a frustrated being!!!!
@ Tonga and Black Banana, you both have displayed your childishness to the world. If you are Ghanaians, then you should start being patriotic. If you are not Ghanaian, then I wouldn't be surprised. All Yvonne is saying is that we Ghanaians need to start thinking. All those aid coming, comes with various conditions. We are definitely better off handling our affairs better
I wonder why people still think help is always for free. No, it's wrong thinking. When we are hungry and rash to the market, we pay for whatever we select or ask for and pay for it. However, what we quickly forget is that we ran to the market for help, otherwise we will have to go and grow our needs ourselves. These market men and women helped us to get what we needed to quench our hunger in the shortest possible means, and that's why we paid to have it. The same principle happens in the international realms. When you are dying and you seek help, it may come but not free of charge. So I personally don't understand what Yvonne Nelson is on about. Mine mine mine and mine? Listen, dear woman! Mine mine mine and mine is the corrupt deals your own government representatives agree to. It is not the Chinese people who are to be blamed. You want help, they come with a proposal to help. You like it, you take the deal. You don't like it, they won't force it down your throat. Ok? Let me give you one example so you won't be talking ignorantly like that. Ghana has crude oil like Saudi Arabia and the others. These governments (Saudi and the others) make the oil explorers build refineries and refine the crude in their countries for obvious benefits. Your Ghana agreed to some ***barred word*** deals and made the explorers carry the crude to their country to refine and give Ghana some peanuts and then sell the the finished products back to us. This is how we behave and you are there blaming the Chinese who are helping to save us. Yvonne, you know too little to think your fight for independent Africa will make an impact. Africa is its own doom, so leave the foreign helpers and rather be on the necks of your own Africans. That will be a good place to start.
You again what koraa do you know beyond sleeping around. We seem to be paying silly attention to these fianga girls too much, let us get serious as a country and ignore noise from the Hollywood wannabes and idiotic pastors
Mind your 'house' business
