Ghanaian actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson is saddened by the silence of the ruling government over the growing state of insecurity in the country and has expressed disappointment at the leadership of the country.
Yvonne Nelson who has been very vocal with her views on social and political issues not forgetting matters that borders on the economy took to her Twitter page and ranted over how police brutality keeps getting worse by the day but in all this, President Akufo Addo is doing nothing about it.
Her outburst comes after the death of a social activist, Macho Kaaka and two others who were shot by military men at Ejura in the Ashanti Region during a demonstration by some irate youth in the community.
According to Yvonne Nelson, President Nana Addo will be remembered as the man who was silent while the people he ruled over were killed and in another post, she quizzed the president if he slept well knowing how the youth of the country are distressed.
In a series of tweet, she wrote;
‘Mr president @NsAkufoAddo how was your night? Did you sleep well knowing the youth of your country are in DISTRESS? You disappoint us DAILY!
remember when the NPP was in opposition,(we) Ghanaians going on the streets to demonstrate meant everything to them!They came in their party colours. now (we) same Ghanaians arent happy about the state of the country and same NPP is blocking us?
Mr President @NAkufoAddo you will be remembered for the many things happening under your watch. Nobody must die for protesting for A BETTER GHANA’

I agree with the actress. Nana Addo has been a failure and a disappointment. Nana Addo convinced us that he had the solution and could easily fix Ghana's pressiong socio-economic problems using Ghanaian ingenuity and effort. But what are we seeing today? Is this not the same as the Incompetence that Mahama unleashed upon us? Ghanaians deserve better than these NDC and NPP idi*ts who do the same thing in power and in opposition. Nana Addo is a big failure. Mahama is ***barred word***. Ghanaians must wake up and find a better system of choosing better leaders.
is anybody interested in what is happening at the local government secretariat? the place has been completely run down since Mr. James Oppong Mensah took over as the Chief Director at Office of the Head of Local Government Service. Unfortunately, the Head of Service, Engineer Nana Ato Arthur does not appear to have a clue as to how to manage the system. Everything is in disarray. The only thing that takes place is regular and unregulated postings. It is no secret that the Chief Director takes money from all manner of persons with the promise of posting them to their preferred stations or appointing them as Coordinating Directors. A lot of them are in the queue waiting for their turn. Even some new recruits are made to pay between 7,000 and 13,000 Ghana Cedis before being issued with appointment letters. In many instances, thick square pegs are put in round holes and the service keeps deteriorating from bad to worse. One does not need a Commissioner in the intelligence services to gather evidence on the dirty deals of the Chief Director with either the connivance or ignorance of the Head of Service. Mr. president, please show concern about the running of that institution before you leave a bad legacy because of some persons incompetence and greed. The system is now more centralized that anybody can imagine. almost all postings are done by the one person (Chief Director) in Accra without any regard to laid down processes. The RCCs are just there without the power to post any professional staff within the regions (from one district to another in the same region). This is pathetic. The earlier something is done about the Running of that institution, the better. Under the watch of the current leadership of the service, every protocol or rules of the service has been violated with impunity. Mr. President may consider sanctioning an investigation into the activities of the Head of Service and the Chief Director to unravel the bad happenings in the dying local government service where professionalism is now thrown to the dogs. A word is enough for the wise. LANTEI @ MADINA
Girl, building a nation that has been left to rot for 8 years is not like preparing the Nigerian delicacy ëba! Institutions need to be made to work and supported by the citizenry with good heart, not with rebellious and ***barred word*** ones like that of the backers of the so-called 'Fix The Country' vapour! Who broke the nation that now needs to be fixed? Let's be more realistic and less hypocritical!
