Beninese Songstress Angélique Kidjo has added another Grammy plague to her uncountable awards catalogue.
Angelique Kidjo won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album with "Mother Nature" at 64th Grammys awards show.
In her acceptance speech, she thanked Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi and Burna Boy whom she says are going to take the music world by storm. This will be the singer's fifth Grammy Award of her career.
Ghana's Rocky Dawuni's Voice Of Bunbon, Vol. 1, Daniel Ho & Friends' East West Players Presents: Daniel Ho & Friends Live In Concert, Femi Kuti And Made Kuti's Legacy +, and WizKid's Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition were the other albums nominated in the category.
The 2022 Grammy Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday April 3, 2022. This will be the first time the telecast was held anywhere but L.A. or New York since 1973, when it was held in Nashville.
