Adiyiah Transfer Causes Confusion At German Club Hannover

Manager and Sporting director of German club Hannover 96 seem to be on a collision course over the transfer of Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah.

While manager of the side, Mirko Slomka is hoping to sign the dimunitive striker, sporting director Jorg Schmadtke thinks otherwise, putting the whole transfer policy of the club in disarray.

The sporting director believes Ivorian striker Didier Ya Konan and Norwegian Mohammed Abdellaoue are capable of steering the attack for the club and thus no need for the acquisition of the 2009 World best Youth player.

This has led to a clash between the two officials as Slomka who has has been tracking the 21-year-old for a years believes Adiyiah is the right talent he needs to augment his attack.

Meanwhile, management of Virtus International, led by former Hannover 96 striker Goran Milovanovic, who represents Adiyiah is in pole position to strike a deal between the two clubs.

Adiyiah who was bought for €1.4m is seen as surplus to requirements at AC Milan who want to offload him for a meager according to reports €300,000. “I am in contact with Hannover,” Milovanovic said.

“Hopefully it won’t end like last year,” he stated; in reference to Hannover’s pursuit of Adiyiah last year which fell through after Hannover signed Portuguese, Carlitos Garcia.

Milovanovic who’s a former striker of Hannover went on to explain why he wants Adiyiah to play for the German outfit saying, “I advise him and would want him to play for Hannover because I owe a lot to this club.”

The ex Heart of Lions marksman rose to prominence during the FIFA U-20 world cup in Egypt where he emerged the best player and goalking of the tournament.

But his failure to pin down a regular position at Milan has seen him loaned out to Reggina and Partizan Belgrade and is on the verge of being flogged out finally to potential suitors.
