Maxwell Konadu has confirmed his move to Ghana giants Asante Kotoko where he will assume the role of assistant coach to Bogdan Korack. The ex Ghana international thus leaves Wa All Stars where he has been head coach since 2009 and says there is no bad blood between him and his former employers.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at All Stars but I felt the time was right to move on,” he told Accra-based Hot FM. “I had a very cordial meeting with the club’s President (Kwasi Nyantakyi) about the offer from Kotoko, he understood and gave me his blessings, so there is absolutely no problems with All Stars.”
In looking forward, the 38-year-old says he is fully aware of the risks and pressures associated with such big clubs but is relishing the challenge. “I am very much aware of the risks and pressures at big club’s like Kotoko,Ii you don’t perform you’ll be ousted in no time.
“But then if you do well, you’ll last for a very long time and that is exactly what I intend doing,” he added.
