Italy-based youngster Esmond Hansen Sackey has earned a late call-up to the Ghana Under-23 team to begin preparations for a crucial All Africa Games qualifier against Nigeria.
The Correggese striker will have the chance to justify his inclusion for a place in the final 21-man squad to play Nigeria on 26 June.
Esmond, 22, a former Ghana Under-17 player, netted 25 times for his third-tier side and has been considered linked Serie B side Atalanta.
Ghana Under-23 coach Akwesi Appiah released a list of 31 players expected to begin camping today (Monday).
