The Ghana Football Association says reports claiming the appointment of an assistant to new Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah are wide off the mark.
Asante Kotoko's Maxwell Konadu has been reported to be the person who will be filling the role vacated by Appiah after both coaches worked together with the gold-winning Olympic team at the 2011 All Africa Games.
But GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi says the process of naming Appiah's assistant and backroom staff is yet to be concluded as consultations continue.
"We have not finished the process of naming an assistant coach to Kwesi Appiah yet," the GFA President said.
"The GFA in consultation with Kwesi Appiah will name the backroom staff."
Appiah stepped up to head coach of the team from his assistant role and has been given a two-year renewable contract.
