Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has sent a speedy recovery message to his international team-mate Andre Ayew after the winger went under the knife on Monday.
The 23-year-old successfully underwent surgery on Monday morning to help him recover from a knee injury he suffered during Ghanas 2014 World Cup qualifying play-off against Egypt in Cairo last week.
Andre is set to spend the next eight weeks on the sidelines before he can return to playing and Agyemang-Badu has wished him well as he begins his rehab.
Get Well soon my brother Andre Ayew, the Udinese star tweeted.
I suffered the same kind of injury last season and I know how it feels like. I wish Andre well and hope he gets back soonest, he added.
Badu and Andre, both members of the victorious 2009 Ghana U20 side, played influential roles in Ghanas qualification to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Andres injury has sparked anger at Marseille as the French club is demanding $1 million as compensation from FIFA for the Liverpool-targets injury.
