German giants Schalke 04 have included Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan in their UEFA Champions League squad, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old is among four who have been added to the Royal Bluesďż˝ altered squad for the competition.
Annan who spent the entire first half of the season nursing an injury returned to training during the mid-season break and travelled with the Schalke team for their tour of Asia.
The former Hearts of playmaker was expected to leave the German side on loan during the January transfer window but instead, he could not move and has been added to their squad for the competition.
He joins countryman Kevin-Prince Boateng who has featured prominently in the squad and will be fighting for a place in their squad as they face Europe super giants Real Madrid in the round of 16 game later this month.
