Board members of Accra Hearts of Oak have resolved to axe Managing Director Neil Armstrong Mortagbe with immediate effect after a series of meetings this week, Ghanasportsonline.com can reveal.
Credible reports reaching Ghanasportsonline.com indicate that majority of the club's board members, the highest decision making body agreed on principle to sack the Managing Director this week.
The sources claim that a letter to that effect has been prepared and is expected to be handed over to the embattled former GHALCA treasurer when Togbui Afede XI returns to the country later this week from a trip.
FIFA Marketing Consultant was appointed as Heart MD barely ten months ago but has struggled to restore the club's reputation and pedigree in Ghana and on the continent. He has personally been surrounded by controversies as he was alledged to have misappropriated an amount of $1,000 belonging to club captain Moro Abubakar.
Mortagbe has also been fingered in a visa fraud case which landed him in police grips, a story the beleageured Managing Director has come out to deny
