The Turin-based left wing back risks being out for two months should a surgery be carried out on his injured knee.
Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah was not part of the Juventus squad facing Malmo in the Champions League Wednesday.
The 25-year-old has been on the sidelines over the past few weeks due to a knee injury and it appears it may require surgery to fix.
The left wing back missed Ghanas 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Uganda and Togo.
According to Tuttosport, Asamoah continues to struggle with the joint and that whilst the club are doing everything they can to avoid surgical procedure, it may prove to be a necessary evil.
The Turin side have left the player behind as the medical team observes him before a final decision will be taken at the end of the week.
Asamoah risks being out for two months should he go under the knife.
