Kumasi Asante Kotoko head trainer Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says they are almost ready for next years CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors have embarked on a series of test matches in recent weeks to sharpen the edges in the team due to the late start of the league.
Last Tuesday, they fought from two goals down to hand Tema-based International Allies 3-2 at the Tema Park; and in a post match interview, the coach said, We are getting there gradually. We are almost there in terms of preparations.
We are still fine-tuning. We have a series of programs ahead of next years Champions League. We took so many things for granted last year. We will make sure it doesnt recur this time.
The Ghana champions were booted out of the last CAF Champions League by a less fancied Liberian side BYC a defeat that stoked intense debate among the Red Army fans.
The Porcupine Warriors will engage Ashgold in the first leg of a special cup match this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Next years CAF Champions League is scheduled to kick off in March.
Kotoko last won the continental championship in the 1980s.
