Founder and bank roller of first division side, King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grunsah has urged the Black Star players to forget about qualifying for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup and rather focus on the 2017 Nations Cup which would be staged in Gabon.
The Black Stars currently occupies the 3rd position with just a point after drawing with Uganda and losing to Egypt by 2:0 in Alexandria in the second round of matches.
The loss to the seven times African Champions has hampered the chances of the Black Stars.
But the outspoken football administrator believes Ghana would have qualified for the World Cup if they had secured all three points against the Cranes of Uganda in Tamale in the first round of matches.
“We should forget about the World Cup and concentrate on the Gabon 2017 AFCON.
“Why should we deceive ourselves that Congo and Uganda can go to Egypt and surprise them? It is unlikely for Egypt to lose all the remaining four matches”, Grunsah said.
“Egypt needs only six points to qualify. I will put ninety percent blame on the Football Association, the ministry and the media because when the two were misbehaving it was the media that supported that.
“I used to respect and support Avram Grant but now I don’t support him. Ghanaians lack the 3Ds that is determination, discipline and dedication,” he added.
Alhaji Grunsah further urged the playing body, Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to unite if they want Ghana to win the Nations Cup after losing narrowly to Ivory Coast on penalties in the previous edition.

We need to forget about the AFCON too because with the kind of strikers we have, we are not going anywhere. Jordan Ayew and Christian Atsu are both in the Championship. It is not by coincidence that European teams choose not to hire a player. If the player is not good, he will not get a club. Jordan is a gifted player. But his contribution to any team he plays for is limited. He does not create goals by assisting. He does not position himself for intelligent passes and his attempts on goal is poor. I think his talent might be elsewhere not in football. In spite of that, Ghanaians will always let him and Christian Atsu strike. That is why we are not going anywhere. This team with its current status will be fortunate if it goes past Quarter Finals in the AFCON.
it think he can make it if we gives the hole ghana to his hand
