A member of the Ghana Football Association Medical Team Dr. Prince Pambo has revealed the cause of Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan’s persistent injuries.
Dr. Prince Pambo speaking to Kasapa Sports exclusively from Germany said Gyan’s persistent injuries is due to the fact that he has been in the game for quite a long time and his positition as a striker also exposes him to a lot of dangerous tackles.
“Normally strikers are prone to injuries more than defenders and midfielders and with Asamoah Gyan one thing I could attribute his injury to is the fact that he has played football for a very long time and the longer you have played , the easier you sustain much injuries. It has got to a point where some of his joints have become weak spots because of how powerful and proactive he has been as a player in the game”, he explained.
The astute medical professional was however of the belief that with the right recovery process Gyan can still bounce back stronger.
“I believe Asamoah can bounce back stronger than before through proper rehabilitation”, Dr. Prince Pambo stated.
The Ghana captain was stretchered off after just 17 minutes during a league match against Al Jazira last Saturday after picking up a muscle injury.
Al Ahli striker Gyan will spend three weeks in the treatment room after suffering another injury setback.

Asamoah Gyan may be no spring chicken but the bottom line and main reason for his below par and less than 90 minutes in competitive games is that HE IS FAT, HE IS OVERWEIGHT FOR THIS LEVEL OF FOOTBALL! And any decent coach or association worth their salt would have given him his marching orders until he got in proper shape. THERE ARE NO TWO WAYS ABOUT IT, ASAMOAH GYAN IS WAY OVERWEIGHT!!!!!! If you doubt it look for an Adom TV clip on the Black Stars training for a match(Jordan and Acheampong feature prominently and that bombastic sportscaster was taking calls from viewers on the program). I felt ashamed for Asamoah Gyan. Dude, had behinds that would make some women ***barred word***....whaoooo, "back-tyre na loose, be what". is it any surprise that he gets injured often now. for you health and well-being, Asamoah, drop the unneeded weight, please. it would add years to your career, that is, if you are still interested in the game not the riches.
Asamoah Gyan claims to be on the same age as Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but they still play active football and dont get that hurt. Dr. please come again
I support you guys all, I think is time he retire and save his image, Gyan is older than his passport age. I also think the doctor Prince Pambo should rather tell Gyan the truth, that his age is the first problem that courses his injuries.
It is not that I hate Gyan but please Dr. Gyan can't bounce back more fitter because his old. You cannot play Competitive football when you are old. I personally think he has done his part for mother Ghana let's not forget the times he saved Ghana when we needed him most. Just accept you are old and retire.
yes the guy is older than he claims to be. its old age. he was rejected in England bcos of his fitness but he denied it. i hope he never returns to the black stars anyway.
Translation means that guy is older than what is on his passport. He is a grand dad all these players are old Essien and etc... Raul Gonzales and other strikers played for ages. Time for Gyan to retired and have some palm wine.
