Publicist for Andre and Jordan Ayew, Fiifi Tackie has taken a subtle swipe at coach Kwesi Appiah's decision to exclude his representatives from the Black Stars squad to face Uganda in the penultimate match of the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Kampala.
The Ayew brothers did not make the 26-man squad for the crucial clash against the Cranes of Uganda as well as the friendly encounter against Saudi Arabia.
Many have suggested that the decision by the coach to axe the duo was based on their withdrawal from the Black Stars squad in the Congo game, where they were reported to have suffered injury and stomach disorder, which was deemed as feigned by many Ghanaians.
"Ghana have so many players and the coach has decided to exclude the boys [ Andre and Jordan] from the squad. It's okay by us, we only wish the team well. The boys have done their part for the team and will continue to do anytime they're called upon. Andre once bought travelling tickets to some of his teammates, so I think the boys have contributed so much to the team," Tackie declared on Happy FM.
Tackie was quizzed whether coach Kwesi Appiah expatiated his reason for excluding the duo from the squad.
"I don't know of any reason. The coach will be best person to answer that question but we're not bothered at all. The most important thing is the boys have not been dropped from their club sides. They will play against each other on Saturday, that's what we're thinking about about," Tackie stated.

Well, the results speak for itself. The Black Stars was more spirited and stronger without the Ayews. The fundamental question is this - are the Ayews bad for the Black Stars? Answer - NO. There are many factors that explains Ghana's spate of bad performances when the Ayews play. (1) Dede's role conflicts with Atsu's role. We know Dede is at his best in the role Christian Atsu plays. But because of politics, Atsu starts crucial games that are frankly beyond him. That relegates Dede to defensive midfield that is not his best role. (2) Jordan's role as a striker has never materialized. He is tall and fast. In theory he should be a good striker. But there is a difference between theory and practice. The boy should take time to meditate to find his path in life. He might be a good striker but there is something missing. Let Jordan find it. He should not let his father front for him all the time.
Dede won the world cup for Ghana in 2009. Which of the player in squad won something for Ghana? I pray for the boys to concentrate on their club football
Why are people still talking about this issue? Who is Dede and Jordan that they cant be drop from the the national team, are the God? or the know how to play more than the other players? Please they should give us a break because they are not the only players who have been dropped from the squad. Kwesi Appiah, please do your work.
these men how many goals have they scored since the 1st game of the series? we need players who can hit the back of the net.
@ Oman Ba what you have said means to every player in the Black Stars is "A WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH". No Player is having permanent positions otherwise Polo, Razak, Opoku Nti, Baba Yara Dan Oppon (aka Idi Dada Amin) and so on would have taken their respective positions away.
Please let's give Coach Kwasi Appiah the peace of mind to do his work. The Ayews have not been invited and so what. The coach may have his reasons. This should send a clear signal to other players in the National team that they don't have permanent position in the National team.
The reason the coach excluded them is simple, there are other equally capable players if not better.
@ ERIC,GO AND FUCK YOUR MUM THE TEAM IS NOT FOR THE COACH VILLAGER LIKE YOU EVERY COACH HAS RESPOSIBILTY TO EXPLAIN WHY A OR B WILL BE EXCLUDE IN ANY MATCH
Let the Ayews go to hell! Ghana football is NOT for Abedi and family! why? Since old days!
