Deputy Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation, William Kwasi Sabi, has said those who are not in possession of the Ghana Card must forget accessing any service ranging from acquisition of a Driving Licence, Building permits, opening Bank Accounts, acquiring a passport, be admitted on the NHIA, gain admission to schools among others.
William Kwasi Sabi explained that the Ghana Card will be the only standard of identity for all Ghanaians inside and outside the country.
He was speaking to Agya Yaw Obeng Preko on Bohye FM’s morning Show Tuesday monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
“No one can access any service in Ghana without the Ghana Card. You can’t get a driving License, you can open a bank account, you cant go to school, you cannot join the National Health Insurance Scheme; you can t do anything in this country that requires a form of identification without the Ghana Card”, he said in Twi on Bohye FM.
The Ghana Card project is being undertaken under a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement between the NIA and Identity Management Systems Ghana Limited (IMS), a subsidiary of the Margins ID Group.
The acting Executive Secretary Prof Attafuah, led a team for an exercise at the Jubilee House and later parliament where opposition NDC MPs kicked against the Ghana Card.
Following a false start, the NIA after resolving the technical challenges said it would not want to announce a date and time for rolling out the exercise but would want to get into the community before announcing itself.
The Ghana Card will replace the sectoral identity cards in circulation and become the only card to be used in transactions where identification is required as provided by law.
Among other things, it will enable other stakeholders to run their applications on the national identity card.

Tina come and let chop Banku and Tilapia wai... confused government
TINA, you are an ndc f000*00l! When will you people learn sense. Do you think what and how you are making yourselves is funny? You are just idi**ts! how can the directives he is talking about operate when the card has not been issued so what are you talking about? who cares about an idi***ot like you who doesn't even understand him/herself? what sin did Ghana commit to deserve ndc? my prayer to GOD is to destroy this evil party which is not allowing our country to progress and prosper# God damn all Ghana haters #Gotdamn all anti-Ghana elements#Gotdamn all nation wreckers# Ghana is in the right hands# Ghana is on course# WE SHALL SUCCEED# ENEMIES ARE NOT GOD !
The Deputy Minister should spur us this rhetoric and focus on producing the cards for us. When they said without the TIN no one could access these same services, have they gone round to find out if those institutions are complying with the directive? I just renewed my Driver's License without a TIN yet I got my License. What is he talking about? They should stop talking and do the work for which we elected them to do. PERIOD!!!
Go and register for your card now. Don't listen to or follow the evildoers. Otherwise, you dry do yourself.
100% good for all Ghanaians to get the card
