Mr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor is the new President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
Addo-Kufuor takes over from Mr. Johan Ferreira who resigned as President of the Chamber, prior to his return to South Africa.
Kwame Addo- Kufuor has many years of experience in mining and is a key personality in the industry having held various senior roles in the Ghana Chamber of Mines and was, until recently, its First Vice President.
A statement issued by the Chamber said Mr Addo-Kufuor supported transformational changes and also represented the Chamber in engagements with key stakeholders within and outside Ghana including Government, ECOWAS, and various other local and international organizations.
Mr. Addo-Kufuor is expected to focus on facilitating deeper engagement and partnership with various stakeholders in championing the growth and development of the industry.
Mr Addo-Kufuor trained with the then Price Waterhouse and a Fellow with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and holds a First class Honours degree from the University of Ghana and an MBA from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom. A football enthusiast he likes travelling and exploring new cultures and is married with children.
