Former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi has said the NDC has changed its image from a party with a violent and revolutionary background to a party that believes in peace and the rule of law.
He made this statement in Accra when the Chief of Staff and his campaign team met the clergy to explain the party's manifesto to them.
According to Prof. Ahwoi, the governance strategy of the NDC has also changed.
He said the 2016 election is a choice between progress and retrogression and therefore asked the electorates to vote for the NDC for progress.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah also stated that campaigning for electoral votes should not bring about fighting.
He noted that the campaigns should be tailored to educate the public to understand the strategies and policies of each political party to develop the country when voted into power.
Members of the Clergy who contributed to the discussion commended the party (NDC) for meeting them ahead of the election and stressed the need for peace during the election.

JM Toaso, Change is already happening
And so they knew what they were doing to Mother Ghana was not good and they continued to do it. What about today. Creeat, Looote and share. That one Abi. WE have realized who NDC are and we will reject them on 7/12/16
Prof, are you now growing to see wisdom or. With all your grey hair? Wonders will never end. Ahwoi it is good you are now growing at this age.
Amongst all the parties contesting in this election, why is NDC the only one that wants to rig? After they successfully do that, they will turn around and say they did hard work. Then Prez Mahama will sheepishly say God appointed him. smh, If I were God, I would s lap him there and then.
These are the faces that will make some of us REJECT the NDC.
I do not think voting for change means retrogression. It is rather voting for President Mahama that means "VOTING FOR RETROGRESSION". I was in this country when President Rawlings was in power and governing this country, Likewise President Kofour and Mills. And I can tell you without mincing words that "MAHAMA'S GOVERNMENT HAS DISAPPOINTED MANY GHANAIAN". Indeed, our economic situations have retrogressed under his tenure. Please, we have minds to think and to compare and contrast. God Bless Ghana. Thank you.
Political opportunist!
By your fruits, you're known. How can you call a tree good if its fruits are evil?
Ah Charles Ahwoi, (now Kwamena Ahwoi), the so called socialist; when did your party changed. Continue to campaign and tell us lies.Don't think Ghanaians are living in a different planet. All shall pass.
