Audio Attachment: Listen to Kweku Baako Jnr. |
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has jumped to the defence of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei; claiming she's being made a "target of scrutiny".
Kweku Baako, commenting on the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', called for thorough investigations into the EC allegations but however would not fault Mrs. Charlotte Osei for responding to the allegations for the basis of her impeachment.
According to him, it was right for the EC Boss to have responded to the EOCO queries (same as the petition forwarded to the President) and set the records straight.
He opined that if Madam Osei had refused or failed to respond to the EOCO queries on the accusations by some concerned staff of the Commission who had also petitioned President Akufo-Addo and the Chief Justice to impeach her, the same public castigating her now, would have quizzed why her loud silence on the issues raised.
Kweku Baako explained that the critics lambasting Mrs. Charlotte Osei for making certain revelations through her responses on the issue were the same people who had believed the claims by the EC staff against her.
To him, the critics thought Mrs. Charlotte Osei is a "woman made of steel. She is an iron. There’s no blood flowing through her, so she should remain silent whilst those saying she should have been silent, they themselves were out there discussing. And when you listen to some of them in terms of their tone, they have believed the allegations. They’ve found the woman guilty already.”
Mr. Baako stressed that he is "on the side of Charlotte. Yes but fortunately, for all of us; I am not the final arbiter. That’s why I’m saying there should be investigations and verification. I am nobody. I cannot actually determine the outcome . . . I’m not a coward. I’m on her side.”

Oooo hoooo Ghanaians. when will we stop discussing about the rich and think about the poor/vulnerable people in society. Hmmm at time my gets sadden when i see/hear the needy walloping in their struggling situations, but the Honorable people instead discussing how to better the needy life, they will be discussing themselves. Hmmmm democracy in deed.
you are on the side of charlotte osei and soooo what? do you think you are the wisest person in ghana? at times this man behaves childishly.even the ndc pple dont like that arrogant woman called charlotte osei. evil woman.
So you ppl want Charlotte out just based on her workers' allegations. Just like that? You are a joke. As for her when she speaks its a taboo right? You can choose to be silent when someone levels allegations against you.
Kwaku Baako, no you're not brave rather a unprincipled and a fraud. Your Charlotte Osei will go down in flames and your reputation will be tarnish forever. You've shown your true character that you're fraud. You're a principled person when it involves others the "no bodies" but when the heat is at your feet you succumbed the familial and become unprincipled. From now one, no one will take you serious as you've shown that you're fraudster masquerading as an objective person.
Uncle Kweku Baako, please you have goofed on this matter. Silence they say is Gold.
Mohammed Nurudeen! Please, ask yourself and the VC, plus the Finance Officer if whatMr. Afenyo is saying are not true, we are working at UEW and we know what is going on, please, let the law work.
Uncle Kwaku you are right. The issue needs critical thinking.

When this started we all thought it was the usual NDC/NPP politics but the allegations and counter accusations from the commissioners involved are really serious. It is like the EC is its own republic and people are just spending money anyhow. How can these people supervise elections in Ghana with this level of antagonism and distrust? It is either Charlotte leaves or the other commissioners leave? Otherwise there will be a greater sabotage in the future.
