Former Deputy Trades Minister in the erstwhile Mahama-led NDC government, Murtala Mohammed has urged former President Jerry Rawlings, his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Martin Amidu, a former Attorney General to condemn the various corruption scandals that has bedevilled the Ruling New Patriotic Party.
The former President and the wife have never stopped voicing out happenings in the NDC they considered as wrongs.
A couple of weeks ago, Mr Rawlings blamed corruption within the Mahama administration as part of the causes for the NDC’s defeat in the December 2016 polls, when he partook in this year’s celebration of the Asafotufiami festival of the chiefs and people of Ada.
On his pat, Mr Martin Amidu, the "Citizen Vigilante" as he is often described, was nearly dragged before the NDC's Disciplinary Committee for being too outspoken in his condemnation of the party. This was after two national Democratic Congress (NDC) members petitioned the NDC's Executive Committee of the NDC to sanction for bringing the party into disrepute and fuelling public ridicule of the party.
The petitioners alluded to links to some articles penned by Mr Amidu as evidence of their claims, not excluding an article the former Attorney-General had written urging Ghanaians to vote against the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Mahama in the 2016 polls and another one alleging that the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Charlotte Osei, was appointed to help rig the 2016 elections in favour of the NDC.
Mr Murtala is therefore wondering the loud silence by all these people in the face of what he perceived to be some corrupt acts being perpetrated under the current administration.
“Where is Rawlings, Nana Konadu, Martin Amidu? Where are they…the same way they condemned the scandals in the National Democratic Congress government, I expect them to come out in the same way and talk...he (Rawlings) needs to speak up,” he fumed.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji programme, the former deputy minister said if Mr Rawlings does not break his silence on the scandals in the ruling government, it will mean that he had an agenda; an agenda to destroy the NDC.
“If former president Rawlings is not able to speak against these things then I will have no doubt in my mind that all his consistent actions, condemnation of the NDC is nothing but a step on the road to the destruction of the NDC…he should not be lopsided,” he stated.

Why is Rawlings silent about corruption under the NPP government?
Another clown on rampage
How on earth is this id!otic wre3th- wr3th Is compelling Rawlings’s to speak, if not because of politics, why don’t you ask same question to Mahama the thi3f, your time go come
if rawlings destroy the ndc who is going to lose, in other case you said perceive corruption you didn't not say for sure that the ruling party is corrupt
Let him speak out when his men/women in the Mahama govt start going to the court on corruption and steal1ng charges.
No Wonder this northern 1d0t is no more in parliament. The likes of him in the NDC are d£luded to say the least. How many people were prosecuted for corruption under the eight rule of the NDC. In less than a year, 5 very bad a$$ corrupt NDC officials are in court. The likes of him insulted Rawllings and his wife when he pointed out the corruption in his own party. Amidu was sacked and Betty Mould Idrissu Barton Oduro were both awarded a juicy positions in the NDC. Was Djifa Attivor made to account for the fraudulent bus branding fiasco? This f00l is not serious and should not be given any platform to spew n0nesense
Murtula Mohammed is a JOKE !!!!!why on earth do you want JJ Rawlings ; Amidu ; Konadu to start raising hell about corruption when they have no evidence to prove their case ; massa there is perceived corruption or stilling and there is blantant stilling or corruption ; in the case of the MDC and JOn Mahama there was evidence to prove afterall you were in government for 8 years and managed to loot state monies bought houses in dubai ; opened off shore accounts ; used stole monies to clear you debts ; most NDC ministers had huge debts but suddenly im power their liabilities dissappear and suddenly they become landlords at at Trassaco ; how many of NPP minister have bought houses and have suddenly reduced their liabilities at the Bank -THIFFS !!!
Mutala do you know why your own people gave you up in 2016 because you talk a lot of garbage.you lost your own constituency because your own conspired against you because of your big mouth.
WONDERS SHALL NEVER END, HOW CAN YOU COMPARED NDC CORRUPTION TO NPP NANA ADDO GOVERNMENT?YOU THINK RAWLINS AND AMIDU SPEAK LIKE YOU AND YOUR SHARP TEETH FRIENDS? IF AMIDU SEES CORRUPTION HE WOULD DRAW NANA ADDO ATTENTION NOT TO SPEAK FOR SPEAKING SAKE. YOU ARE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, NANA WOULD DELIVER BY GOD'S GRACE
They won't speak because all these corruption allegations are all red herrings seeking to equalise. Where are the NPP equivalent of SUBA, GEEDA, WAYOMI etc.Nana should start jailing the corrupt NDC officials and there will be quietness like that of the cemetery.
