Former Deputy Trades Minister in the erstwhile Mahama-led NDC government, Murtala Mohammed has urged former President Jerry Rawlings, his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Martin Amidu, a former Attorney General to condemn the various corruption scandals that has bedevilled the Ruling New Patriotic Party.
The former President and the wife have never stopped voicing out happenings in the NDC they considered as wrongs.
A couple of weeks ago, Mr Rawlings blamed corruption within the Mahama administration as part of the causes for the NDC’s defeat in the December 2016 polls, when he partook in this year’s celebration of the Asafotufiami festival of the chiefs and people of Ada.
On his pat, Mr Martin Amidu, the "Citizen Vigilante" as he is often described, was nearly dragged before the NDC's Disciplinary Committee for being too outspoken in his condemnation of the party. This was after two national Democratic Congress (NDC) members petitioned the NDC's Executive Committee of the NDC to sanction for bringing the party into disrepute and fuelling public ridicule of the party.
The petitioners alluded to links to some articles penned by Mr Amidu as evidence of their claims, not excluding an article the former Attorney-General had written urging Ghanaians to vote against the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Mahama in the 2016 polls and another one alleging that the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Charlotte Osei, was appointed to help rig the 2016 elections in favour of the NDC.
Mr Murtala is therefore wondering the loud silence by all these people in the face of what he perceived to be some corrupt acts being perpetrated under the current administration.
“Where is Rawlings, Nana Konadu, Martin Amidu? Where are they…the same way they condemned the scandals in the National Democratic Congress government, I expect them to come out in the same way and talk...he (Rawlings) needs to speak up,” he fumed.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji programme, the former deputy minister said if Mr Rawlings does not break his silence on the scandals in the ruling government, it will mean that he had an agenda; an agenda to destroy the NDC.
“If former president Rawlings is not able to speak against these things then I will have no doubt in my mind that all his consistent actions, condemnation of the NDC is nothing but a step on the road to the destruction of the NDC…he should not be lopsided,” he stated.

Nana Ado nie corruption nie
Silly mammal...you still ffooooling yourself during christmas
Mr Mutala don't worry at all. The great Papa J our Founder and the creator of our great party NDC will come after them at the right time. So please Mr Mutala cool down. His Excellency the Ex-President JJ is just reading between the lines. He will surely expose them for Ghanaians to see how corrupt NPP government is
NDC unleashed these nonentities and nincompoops on us whilst in power and are doing same now. NDC is not truth to itself. NDC thinks we lost power because of Nana Addo's promises, big untruth. You lost power largely because of people like Mutarla, Omane Boamah, Okujeto, Ofosu Kwakye and the other babies with sharp teeth. Please seriously am telling you my feelings towards the NDC. You managed the economy poorly. My business collapse because of DUMSOR and you want me to listen to you now. No l can't. You guys are just exciting your hard core supporters who cannot bring you to power alone without the support of people like me. You need new and intelligent communicators. I rest my case now.
These guys are just missing the nyafu nyafu choppings whilst in power. They are missing it bad. Look at those crying loud, they have no job doing; had never worked; only knows how to siphon state funds hence they are now crying. Brothers and sisters, please as l said, look carefully at those crying by heart now. They were those illegally benefiting from their being in power. Those who had worked before; are self sufficient; can stand on their own two feet in and out of power are measured in the NDC. The looters are crying merrr merrr merrr. The corruption of NDC and John Mahama is too fresh in our minds. We are very very very discerning.
What at all is wrong with the pepe politicians in Ghana? Because their corrupt man Mahama failed Ghana, they want every Ghanaian in to help them attack nana addo and the npp
IS THIS GUY MURTALA SO IMBECILEEEE? HE ACCUSES JJ, M AMIDU, NANA KONADU FOR NOT CONDEMNING CORRUPTION IN NPP LIKE THEY DID TO NDC. IN SPITE OF ALL HIS RATTLINGGGG HE DID NOT ESTABLISH A SINGLE CORRUPT CASE OF NPP HIMSELF. SO WHERE DOES HE EXPECT MARTIN AMIDU AND CO TO GET ONE WHEN THERE IS NONE. COME BACK MURTALA
@Rahaman. Are you that du.mmb or is it that you can not understand when you read ? It is the article that typed "perceived corruption" but it isn't what Murtala. NPP and their supporters obviously suffer are deficient in comprehension. As for Mr. Rawlings, the NDC must understand, that he is Mortal and as such may suffer moral corruption. "See no wrong"
NDC is SHOCKED and CONFUSED about the wonderful things that NPP had done under NDC-shuttered economy. Wait to see more in coming years! NDC is struggling HARD to say 'yenyinaa abro pepeepe' but na lie'. NDC is equall to corruption.
attempting to be corrupt is not the same as being corrupt and u guys shd know the difference. if we were able to detect before hand all the corrupt practices ndc perpetuated while in govt I dont think we would have been this broke. the difference between ndc and npp is that ndc this budget for anything, they just spend where as npp makes a budget. making a budget for something doesn't necessary mean you are going to spend that amount on it. You might spend more or less than you have budgeted. what matters most is value for money. we shd be talking after the money has been actually spent and stop all thse n0ns3ns3 about a budget statement. is ndc telling me they approve the budget to spend that amount of money on the bus branding? these ple shd be serious for once in their lives. this confirms my suspicion of the ndc that they present small figures in their budget for approval but ends up overspending the budget without parlimentary approval. they always overspend. so I dont understand what their problem is bcos unlike them npp is caught before the commit the crime. ndc on the other are only caught after committing the crime which is more difficult to deal with bcos at that time the money is gone. look at how we are struggling with woyome's money. if the whole nation was aware of the payment before it was actually made, do you think they would still have paid? unfortunately they paid the money and shared be4 it come to the public. same with the bus branding, geeda, and the rest. even with those that came to the public earlier they still went ahead and did it, then mahama will say y3nti obia. these cr1m1nals were behaving like they were saint while in govt. the only good thing they are doing for mother Ghana is putting the npp govt in check but that shd not be done with stup1>d1dty. these guys are just scared of the special prosecutor and trying to rope in the npp officials as well but that will not work. why shd someone resign for no crime. she made a budget if you have a problem with the budget just ask her to reduce it. its not the same as the person doing the thing. u guys that follow the politicians shd do so with ur brains bcos some of these politicians are ***barred word***.
