Mr Carlos Ahenkorah, MP for Tema West and Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry on Friday apologised to Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, for outbursts against him earlier in the week.
He said: “My brother, Okudzeto Ablakwa is still my senior in Parliament. That exchange we had should not have happened because we are two gentlemen; we must move past this,” the MP said, at a mini press conference at the Parliament House, in Accra.
Mr Ahenkorah equally sent an apology to the Speaker of Parliament, fellow Members of Parliament and Ghanaians.
A furious Mr Ahenkorah, a first-time Member of Parliament, representing the people of the Tema West Constituency in the august House on Tuesday, had been accused of using the Presidency for profiteering, for which Minority Chief Whip Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak and Mr Ablakwa were calling for a probe.
There allegations that the government had charged between $25,000 and $100,000 to allow expatriates sit close to the President at the event at recent Ghana Expatriate Business Awards event.
As Mr Ablakwa, who is also the Ranking Member of Foreign Affairs spoke to journalists on the matter, an incensed Mr Ahenkorah interrupted the interview and rained insults on Mr Ablakwa at the Parliament House.
Mr Ahenkorah’s emotional outburst has been condemned by the public, and his actions in the profiteering saga had since come under scrutiny.

I will advice Carlos to just careful because attitudes like that will not only destroy him but his party at large. He did same during a demolishing by T.M.A of which he was in the meeting that decided to take the said action.
you see, am getting worried of how great and endorwed business men will because of politics be going so low. Hon ahenkora ypu are right, ablakwa is a small boy both in thinking, education and human life as its only politics that had made him. he has no matured life like you. if we take politics out of ablakwah, who is he again?. look cant some of you like Hon ken agyapong etc call the bluff of the so called croonies of the president, join the likes of kwame despite else tp call the shots in Ghana. if well endorwed business men will ignore politics and be the movers of the country like in the USA, i think the likes of gabby and his asante bediatuo cant be forcing you to apologise, apology for what, is it not true what you said, we are pampering the NDC guys and ppl will say apologise, apology ma foot. same way we forced ayisi boateng to apologise but tell me even in the brood day light robbery of mahama, his family and some NDC people coupled with their insults even to the pastors etc, who among them apologised?, you may say it was wrong so should we copy or do same but rem, times is good to equally respond to the FO.OL else s/he may think in the eyes of the ppl, its good
There are more NPP guys wishing to take up your position soon. You been sacrificed
Black Monkey minister apologizes again?Trump is right in his description of blacks as of use
OKUDJETO WAS NOT RIGHT THAN CARLOS, BUT NANA ADDO DOES NOT EXPECT HIS MINISTERS TO ENGAGED IN UNNECESSARY EXCHANGE OF WORDS SO CARLOS HAD TO DO HIS APOLOGY WELL. THEY ARE NOS MINISTER IN THE MANNER OF FII KWARTEY AND OKUDZETO. NPP MINISTERS ARE TO BE COUTH AND SERVE AND NOT TO LORD IN OVER OTHERS AS IT WAS IN NDC.THEY MIGHT BE INFURIATED BUT NANA AND THE PUBLIC EXPECT THEM TO BE CALM AND COOL AS THEY DEFEND THEIR POSITION. WELL DONE CALOS.
CARE LESS CALLOUS CARLOS
Carlos Ahinkora said Hon. Ablakwa is an Esukonuma , Now here you are begging the Same Esukonoma for forgiveness. Now who is the Esukonoma here? Power drunk minister of the highest order. Hope Carlos will learn a big lesson from this na s t y behaviour . A dishonourable Mp like that.
Waka ,Waka aden? All that you said were true, let them go drink Korle Lagoon who cares? Would ndc apologize if they were in power?so why do you apologize to show your weakness to these people, who will take that as their strength and greatness because of what they believe in st*pidity. You are not dealing with people who are civil but real primitive who wouldn't take this apology as a sign of civility but as weakness. These are the type of people some Ghanaians voted to represent them who are exposing their constituencies to ridicule in Ghana. Thank God I don't have an mp like such people but a respected young man with sense and intelligence.
He said you cannot talk like that and you would meet in court. Power can on journey you did not plan . You chose to forget that you have sworn to serve Ghana in all encounters but went wayward completely and you would explain yourself in Court.
