Members of Parliament are complaining bitterly about the delay in release of their February salary.
According to the MPs, the delay in the payment of their salary is putting undue pressure on them as they head to their constituencies for the 6th March parade.
“There is a particular trend that has started over the last couple of months that is getting most of us worried and the trend is that when the month ends we don’t see our salaries.
“The last month we received our salaries on the 10th and this month, today is 2nd and there is no sign of us getting our salaries and we are worried, every MP is complaining,” Asuogyaman MP Ampem Nyarko told Starr FM’s Parliamentary Correspondent, Ibrahim Alhassan.
He added, “Trust me this is not about those on the left, every MP is complaining except some of them are unable to voice out. It is a very serious thing that is happening to us.
“You plan your finances and you don’t know what to do again. We are going into our constituencies for 6th March, a lot of expenditure ahead of us and nothing showing in our Bank accounts.”
MP for Buem, Daniel Kwasi Ashiamah also complained bitterly stating that the situation is extremely worrying and would greatly affect their finances if they are not paid by the end of the day.
“Today is Friday and I am going home to meet my constituents and Tuesday will be 6th March and I have not been paid, I have not been paid, that is the matter…and there is no money in my pocket.”

Some newly trained teachers were posted to their stations and for over one year not been paid..... A few days you guys were not paid and you are all complaining? This will show you what you guys were taking people through.....
u see ur stup1>d selfish life? many public workers go months without salaries yet they keep quiet. we are only 2 days into the month and u have started complaining. if u were paid on the 10th last month then common sense shd tell u will be paid around that same date this month. what have u even done to be paid by the way? if i were u i will be very ashamed to even talk abt my salary let alone complain abt it not been paid. stay faithful on ur wives and stop spending on those ur numerous girlfriends and see if u will ever noticed salary not been paid. u are just using ur constituents as an excuse or probably doing this so that when u go there they cant ask u for help. we know u ple and ur ticks.
Unfortunately what's the opposite of competent NPP government? as compare to incompetent ex-while NDC government: I don't know yet but I suppose this word will do greatly "Chaos"
what have you people done so far to be paid? haven't you see the increase in armed robbery in the country? are you not supposed to put your heads together to solve the problem? don't forget tax payers monies are used to pay both the ruling government and the opposition. Ghanaians have to hold you accountable for your patriotism.
paid for what? even teachers, doctors and nurses went through.
MP , you are complaining? Some people will only get 300 ghc and they will wait for months to get one month pay no complain, you ten days u are talking keep quiet
there is no need for them to talk about unpaid salary they must keep quite and feel what the voters also feel
Is enough sacrifice this to the poor, you don't talk about the poor, selfishness and greediness shall you be known, money no dey ooooo, haaa ba...
