CPP Stalwart, James Kwabena Bomfeh has descended heavily on President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government over their decision to establish a National Cathedral in the country.
The President on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 unveiled an architectural design for the construction of a national cathedral.
It will sit around a 14-acre garden and have chapels, a baptistery, a music school, an art gallery, a Bible Museum and Documentation Centre - It is expected to seat 5,000 people in its main auditorium.
But to have the cathedral is to evict some judges from the residences and demolish other properties since government wants it to lie in a busy place as Ridge in Accra.
James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila, expressed his resentments about the project on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on Monday.
According to him, it is of no use for the government to establish a cathedral for nation when there are other pressing needs of Ghanaians which have not yet been met.
He noted that using national resources and demolishing properties, all in the name of a cathedral, is nothing but a misplaced priority.
Kabila therefore went all spiritual, sermonizing the government to stop their pursuit to construct such religious edifice.
“I’m on good terms with the President. I hate him not and I will not hate anybody for that matter…The life I’ve lived on this earth hasn’t been a perfect one. I have faults and that’s why daily I run to Christ to cleanse me…The biggest church that we have to build for God is our own human body. Are we truthful? Do we have love? Do we have fear for God? What is our development for the human race? For me, those are the key ingredients that will go into building a true temple for God in honor of His Word,” he said.

am not surprised that now all kind of sins are committed in our churches. we think God fearing and worship Him is all about building edifices and publicly defending Christianity. as individuals, let's behave like Christ and keep His temple clean. God doesn't need this cathedral from us. He wants us to move away from sin. building this cathedral will not mean we're worshipping God. in fact it's a total waste of resources.
KABILA, WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN TO BUILD A HOUSE OF GOD ALMIHTY?DO NOT INVITE THE WRATH OF GOD UPON YORSELF. KING DAVID OF ANCIENT DYAS WANTED BUT COULDN'T, HIS SON SOLOMON SUCCEEDED AND TODAY PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD THROWN TO ISRAEL TO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF IT'S REMAINS.REMEMBER TO WOMAN WITH TH ALLIBASTER OIL AND WHAT OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST SAID TO THOSE AROUND.THERE'S TIME AND REASON FOR EVERYTHING.
HMMMM GHANA ;ENYE YEEDA
Some Ghanaian pride themselves that Ghana is a christian country. But building a national cathedral, listen to the same people who pride themselves that they are christian saying about it.So my question is Ghana a christian country? If Ghana is a christian country why is that building a national cathedral has also become like something we have never hard before oh God have on my motherland Ghana.l say God bless our homeland.
I wonder if those who complain about the location of this project have ever visited the Vatican and observed its location and the traffic issues around that place. Now compare the annual revenue it generates for Italy with the inconvenience of traffic and one will note that the economic benefits far outweigh the traffic inconvenience. If you are planning to make tourism as one of your source of income then having such monuments is a must and they must be sighted at places where tourist can easily get to from their hotels. Note also that the Egyptians sited their National Museum in the central business part of Cairo instead of Giza where you have the pyramids. Stop being myopic and look long into the future and assess the financial benefits to the state instead of emotional parochial interest.
You need to do soul searching on yourself and find out what your heart, body, and spirit longs for:Things of YAHWEH or satan. I pray you choose and defend Christ Jesus than this world.
Don't be surprised if he was drunk. That's his trademark. And who is Kabila, even if he chooses to "hate" Akufo Addo? He should start hating alcohol because that will sound more credible. He wants to make himself relevant in gh.
'@ I Hate Not Akufo-Addo, But A Cathedral For Ghana Is Needless - Kabila'. You do all these and says what?
Kabillah you are like Sanballat and Tobias in the Bible. You guys will oppose everything in this country. Oh we are poor... Oh we need hospitals...Oh we are hungry. Like Prez Kufour said we know the cost of everything but the value of nothing. Can you believe that it took us 50 years to build the Jubilee house? Before then we were hosting world leaders in a slave castle at Osu? As a country we need monuments! Every civilized country in the world has it. You guys pay thousands of dollars and fly to Washington DC to see the war monuments and the malls. You go to Milan to see the Duomo etc. Do you think at the time these monuments were built there were no poor people in these countries. The church as institution has done so much for this country. Our best secondary schools and some of our hospitals in the rural areas were started by the methodists, catholic and presby etc. and if government can provide them the space where they can build a cathedral what is problem with that? Man shall not live by bread alone
KABILA YOU TALK AS IF YOU ARE DRUNK.WHO SAID GOVERNMENT IS PAYING FOR IT?
