Security officers have fired tear gas and arrested a number of #RevolutionNow protesters in Nigeria's commercial hub, Lagos.
Demonstrators trying to enter Lagos National Stadium were kept at bay by security operatives who erected barricades.
#RevolutionNow protesters want an end to insecurity in the country, where kidnappings for ransom are rampant.
Demonstrations nationwide had been organised for Monday by pro-democracy campaigner Omoyele Sowere, who was arrested over the weekend accused by the authorities of calling for the government's overthrow.

Our security men and women should make sure these kriminal Nigerians don't enter our country ! they have nothing good for their country neither other African countries than kidnappings and killings and they should stay home to do that not extend it to Ghana because we've had enough of their kidnappings and kriminal nons*ense! They should nurture their children well and stop leaving them to fend themselves! Nigerians are creating insecurity anywhere they go why? and their st*upid professors will tell our President to apologize for their id*iocy ! Go back home and fix your country ! If I had my way I would have implemented the aliens compliance order to get all those ECOWAS mother****barred word*** out of Ghana. To Hell With ECOWAS You go to somebody's country to promote your country in good standing but not in crim*inality !
Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and apparently the most powerful. It has much influence in the continent. Unfortunately Nigeria is not capable to offer any leadership to itself and the rest of Africa. The best way for Africa to get developed is ignore Nigeria and move ahead. Instead of Nigeria doing well to attract other African countries like Amarica is doing to the Americas, Nigeriaans rather move to other African countries to seek greener pastures. As they move to other Africa many Nigerians engage in crimes like kidnapping and robbery to become threat to security of other Africa. In view of all this I support the idea of those who wish to see Nigeria as Biafra, Hausa and Yoruba so that they could be effectively managed for the development of the people in Nigeria to support the growth of Africa. In that way the negative competition within Nigeria could turn to become productive to itself and fruitful to Africa.
