Non-Governmental Organization ‘Citizen Eye Ghana’ (CITEG), has kicked against the legalization of Okada business by the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama.
The CEO of the group, Mr. Alex Kweku Tetteh described the policy as “reckless, unreasonable” and a “threat” to lives in an interview with Peacefmonline.com
Former President John Mahama made the promise to legalize Okada business across the country during his campaign tours.
The promise has also been captured in the NDC’s 2020 manifesto making it a priority policy if the NDC is voted back into power.
But Mr. Alex Kweku insisted that the policy must be condemned by all.
He fears many will lose their lives if the business is legally accepted in Ghana.
