The Flagbearer of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo Addo has slammed President John Mahama saying he lacks what it takes to teach him (Akufo Addo) lessons in patriotism.
According to him, President Mahama’s suggestion that those who claim Ghana’s economy is in crisis are not patriotic is the most unfortunate statement a president will ever make.
Members of the NPP have criticized the Mahama-led administration for the poor handling of the economy despite the enormous natural resources the country is endowed with.
However President Mahama maintains that the economy is picking up and describes persons who share different position as persons with bad eyesight.
But addressing scores of supporters of the ‘Elephant family’ during the party’s manifesto launch at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, Nana Akufo Addo stated that President Mahama’s under whose tenure the economy has shrunk cannot stop him and others from making the right assessment of the economy.
“Let me state clearly and without any equivocation that John Dramani Mahama cannot teach me any lessons in patriotism, my love for and believe in Ghana is total and has stood the test of time. “
