Ace highlife gem Jewel Ackah is thankful to God and Zylofon boss, Nana Appiah Mensah for his kindness and cash donation to him after sharing his plight with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment review show on Saturday afternoon.
The veteran musician disclosed he’s going to use the money on medication and for healthcare needs after Samuel Atuobi Baah, known publicly as Sammy Flex, the Head of communication for Zylofon Media made the donation to him in his residence in Accra.
The highlife legend had earlier expressed gross disappointment in NDC party for neglecting him after he fell sick.
Jewel Ackah was the famous musician who composed the NDC anthem, “Arise Arise’” in the year 2008. The highlife gem was one of the many musicians who popularized highlife music in the 1980s and 1990s.
His sweet voice and enticing Fante Lyrics made him an exceptional artist. But his career took a nosedive after composing the song for the opposition political party.

well done biggest man
Zylofon, god bless ur sweat 10,000dollars is over 430million, i hope with this money and prayers God will heal u once again. As for the Kwabena who wrote that immatured comment the least said about him the better
Nice gesture but what kind of business just gifts cash, houses and cars when it has not posted any profits yet? is this business module sustainable?
Zylophone, you have touched the hearts of many and not just the ailing Jewel Ackah. Please next time, deposit the money in the bank account of the person and not cash like that; what you did is a recipe for robbery in his home.
@ kwabena this is a punch below belt. all of us can never be in the same party. Jewel Ackah is a good man. let us not kill his soul with such statement we are young and don't know if we will reach his age. sickness may come at any time. God bless us with Good heart. Amen
Looks like Jewel didn't invest in his health. The guy has always carried a lot of weight. We know that in your 40s this leads to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes etc. Everyone believes he/she is a super-human, I will not be afflicted. In our corner of the world, the carbohydrate content of our foods is very high. Take a look at jollof, fufu, kenkey and how they are presented. No vegetables. Lots of rice, lots of fufu, lots of kenkey. On the other hand we want to drive every where, we don't want to walk when we get to that age because e be some way. In old age when the s_hit hits the fan and you can't even sit correct to enjoy the comforts of a car, what you going to do? This is part of our cultural problem. We see, we don't want to correct things. We continue with our bad habits.
Kwabena!the fact that u love npp does not make ndc devil, we should stop this cheap politics. this man was paid but wrong investment is what is affecting a lot of Ghanaian's who called themselves celebrates or known. They think when u build house n buy car then u are rich.If he has invested his money well at his heyday's like he will have money for his medical bills n not thinking about some political party that has given him some money before.pray that God heals him.Blessed
WHY ARE YOU CRYING NOW? NOBODY FORCED YOU TO CHOOSE THE N.D.C. YOUR HATRED AND TRIBAL BIGOTRY WILL CONSUME ALL OF YOU PEOPLE. YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE ATTACKING NANA ADDO AS A PERSON BUT THE CHICKEN HAS COME HOME TO ROOST. LET YOUR N.D.C LOOK AFTER YOU NOW. I DON'T HAVE SYMPATHY FOR YOU. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DINE WITH THE DEVIL..... THE BATTLE IS STILL THE LORD'S.
well done to peace fm and zylophone
